I wish I the memory you have about these t...Debbie,
I wish I the memory you have about these things. I do have great memories of the house. Had forgotten the address. The number 9 is an important number for me and 1017 fits with that. As does the address we moved to in the projects 315. Anyways, I too was afraid of the house, especially the back porch. I slept there on occasion and always had the heevy jeebies when I did. I remember your mom, aunt May, always cooking in the kitchen. And the wonderful holiday feasts she cooked for the family. She and 'uncle Ernest' left this world too so. I shall always be indebted for what they did for us.

And mama's flip flops. Oh yes, she never hesitated to use them when she needed to spank someone. It was always 3 against one, Judy, Eleanor and Linda against this only male.

One last thought. When we moved from the projects it was to a house just up the street from 1017. I believe the address was 1012. it was the log house. We were living there when I went into the army in 1969.MythsDreamsSymbolshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00611036341892843380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-834017709371541850.post-74156842475165909262012-04-30T01:28:33.428-05:002012-04-30T01:28:33.428-05:00I love reading these things.
