Candy wrappers
Earlier I was cleaning up and picked up a shiny candy wrapper from a Lindt chocolate. One side was silver foil and the other was red and white and gold. A memory came of a great aunt who saved candy wrappers and gave some to me every time we visited. Some were shiny foil. Others were pretty patterns. One I remember was a lollipop wrapper in iridescent pastel colors. I remember Mama telling me that her aunt grew up in a time when children didn't have many toys. She saved them because they were pretty, something fun to look at and think about. I never kept them long but I did appreciate that she cares enough to save them for me. Just a passing memory that may not surface again so I wanted to write it down.
